DTF Clogs & Printer Maintenance

DTF Maintenance

A printhead cleaning is not a maintenance routine.

Prevent clogs by maintaining the printer around how often you print and how long it will sit.

Routine

Daily / Before Printing

Check nozzle output and ink-flow behavior before wasting film on a bad print.

Routine

End of Day

Leave the printer in a condition that reduces the chance of ink drying where it should stay clean and sealed.

Routine

Periodic / Monthly

Build deeper maintenance into the schedule instead of waiting for print quality to fail.

Storage

Vacation / Long-Term

A printer sitting unused needs a different plan than one running every day.

Already clogged?

Start with the symptom. Run a nozzle check, identify which channels or parts of the pattern are missing, and work from the least aggressive appropriate correction upward. Avoid stacking cleaning cycle after cleaning cycle without learning anything from the result.
